(The state is not involved in keeping track of using or scores for any purpose.) There are two types of interim assessments.
Summative:
This is the assessment that will be given March 16th-May 29th. Students will be tested in both Math and ELA using an online, adaptive test.

- ICA-Interim Comprehensive Assessment- This is a short version of the summative assessment. It is not adaptive, however the score is on the same scale as the scores you will get on the summative (we can use these to compare to how students will most likely do on the summative). Most will be scored online, but part of it will be hand scored using an online tool called the Teacher Hand Scoring System.
- IAB-Interim Assessment Block- This test only covers a small chunk of math or ELA content. It can be given multiple times a year and classroom teachers may use these to show progress on content. This assessment is more focused at the high school level. Students will receive a score of below, at or near, or above the standard.
